History of Passaic, NJ
125 years ago, in 1873 the city of Passaic was incorporated. It was orginally Dutch settled in 1678. The population grew when the Dundee Canal and Dam were completed in1861. Many mills and businesses were established with a growing interest to reside there. There was an influx of immigration and settling. The town is now very well developed.
