Incorporated as township in 1798. In 1981 it became the Borough of Caldwell. Birthplace of President Grover Cleveland. Named fro Rev. James Caldwell “The Fighting Parson”. Grover Cleveland Park designed by the firm of Frederic Lawomstead.
